Complete bullshit.

i want a guy best friend.
I hate it when crap like this shows up on my dashboard. I’ve had several guy best friends over the years and many close guy friends. Let me tell you what I know:

1. It doesn’t matter what gender you are because anybody is capable of spreading a rumor for no fucking reason.

2. Look at number 1. Anyone is capable of spreading a rumor or telling your secrets. Quite frankly it has nothing to do with your gender and it’s incredibly sexist to believe that it does. To me if you want to spread a rumor or spill someone’s secrets that reveals your true character and that’s something to do with your personality not whether or not you have a penis or a vagina.

3. Haven’t you guys ever heard of male-PMS before? Sure they don’t bleed out of their nether regions but they can go for weeks and even a month of pure balls to the wall, rude, asshole-ish behavior. They can go through mood swings just like the rest of us.

4. If you find a good guy friend they’ll talk you up to the guy you like or not do anything at all so as not to ruin your chances. If you have a bad guy friend he’ll undermine you and ruin your chances. This is applicable to girls as well. They might not steal your guy but that doesn’t mean they can’t ruin chances.

5. See #1 and #2. I don’t understand how you guys think that a guy can’t be two faced. What is that? Is there some law that says only women can be that way? I’ve known some guys who were the fakest people I’ve ever met. Be nice to you to your face and talk shit about you behind your back. What are you guys on? Crack? How can you think men don’t act that way as well?

6. This is true for any type of friend. A good friend will stick up for you no matter what. A bad friend won’t.

7. This is 50/50. Not all men will notice that your shivering your ass off and some men will and be courteous. I think this is more of a manners thing in lieu of courteousness rather than they’re male they have to give me their jacket! It’s the only way! blahhhh

8. Is this some Disney bullshit? Are they supposed to come swoop in like Superman and pick you up in your arms because you sprained your ankle or because you stubbed your toe? No thank you. Unless I’m seriously injured don’t pick my fucking ass up.

9. I can’t even begin to comprehend how much bullshit this last reason is. Let’s put the emphasis on “they might”. Do you know how many questions I get from people who tell me that they have feelings for their close friend (regardless if they’re male or female on both parts) and confuse a platonic relationship for a romantic one because they believe that because they’re best friends and of the opposite sex it must mean love? You’re furthering that idea by mentioning it. Plus, don’t go into a friendship thinking this could be your husband or your boyfriend. Not all guys who become good friends with girls want them or want to get in the sack with them.
